Accomplished Technology Expert Joins Electronic Medical Record Software Provider glostream, Inc., as Director of Product and Business Development
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (PRWEB) October 3, 2007 -- gloStream, Inc. (gloStream) of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., an electronic medical records software (http://www.glostream.com/) and practice management solutions provider serving healthcare facilities nationwide, today announced that Gregg Hammerman has joined its ranks as director of product and business development. Hammerman's chief responsibilities include ensuring that gloStream's electronic medical records (EMR) product, gloEMR, embraces the features and functionality physician practices need and want in an EMR solution and developing mutually beneficial business relationships.
"We're excited to have Gregg join our team because his tremendous experience in both product management and technology-based business will bring great value to our growing organization," said Mike Sappington, president and CEO of gloStream. "In his new role, Gregg will be the eyes and ears of the physician-practice community, making sure gloEMR features and functionality match what current and prospective customers want and need." According to Sappington, Hammerman will also work to broaden gloStream's customer base and pursue mutually beneficial relationships to grow the gloStream brand.
Hammerman brings more than a decade of technology, product and business development experience to his position with gloStream. Previously, Hammerman served as co-founder and president of Ann Arbor, Michigan-based TechStreet, Inc., a business that provides engineers with technical standards and specifications essential to their work. At TechStreet, he managed every aspect of the company's operations including technical development, finance, accounting and investor relations. During his tenure, TechStreet enjoyed revenue growth averaging more than 30 percent per year until the company was purchased in 2003 by The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC). After the acquisition, Hammerman became director of technology and operations within Thomson's scientific division. Hammerman has also worked in venture capital as part of the team at North Coast Technology Investors, LP.
"I am thrilled to be part of the gloStream team," said Hammerman. "The company has done a phenomenal job of creating cutting-edge software that is extremely powerful and easy to use so doctors can focus on caring for patients while being confident they are thoroughly documenting every exam." According to Hammerman, gloEMR also helps physicians streamline inefficient office processes. "I look forward to building on the company's momentum and adding value to the product to ensure it remains the preferred EMR solution among physician practices," he added.
Hammerman holds a master's degree in business administration from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Michigan.
