DANIA BEACH, Fla. (Business Wire EON) October 10, 2007 -- In 1989, Harold and Hilda Maxwell opened Annie's Costumes and Magic in South Florida. Seven years later, Shari, their daughter, designed and launched their first website, www.AnniesCostumes.com. By 1999, the mom and pop business expanded its website holdings, and Shari left the retail store to manage the Internet business full time. In 2003, its online Halloween costume shop was doing so well that Annie's Costumes was able to close its retail store front and move exclusively to the Internet.

Besides the Second Life Halloween costume shop, Annie's Costumes also built a virtual haunted house which features blood stained walls and a maze of catacombs underneath the house for Second Lifers to explore and get a thrill.
