Hi-Stor and Sun Microsystems Sign a Worldwide Business Partner Agreement for the StorSentry? Software Solution

Through this agreement, Sun sales forces are now able to sell the Hi-Stor StorSentryTM solution along with Sun StorageTek high reputation offerings for tape storage infrastructures. The execution of the agreement will cover first North America and Europe where both partners are present and where the key targeted customers are today. It will then be extended to the rest of the world.

StorSentry? is an open system solution, which runs on Solaris and Windows, and uses Sun MySQL Enterprise database to store its information. StorSentry? is well integrated with the Sun high end and mid range tape automation systems and software (StorageTek LTO and T10000 drives, VTL Plus or Prime virtualization systems, and SL500 - SL3000 - SL8500 library systems...). StorSentry? flexible and scalable architecture is a distinctive advantage for satisfying large data centers requirements, covering both mainframe and open systems environments, taking advantage in particular of the Sun StorageTek Virtual Storage Manager, the market-leading mainframe virtual tape solution.
